Hi moms, trying to decide between cruise dates - Bahamas... March or May? Want warm enough water to  make the cruise worth the $$, however March is also daughters 10th bday. Would possibly do land+sea package. Any suggs??

    Ahoy Jennifer –

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Well, if you ask me … anytime is a great time to cruise with Mickey! However, I understand your dilemma with cruise dates, weather and budget.  My pirate crew enjoyed a fabulous cruise on the Disney Fantasy during Spring Break in the month of March, and we had a great time.

Of course, the swimming pools on the ship are heated so you will be able to swim year-round, regardless of the temperatures. At the Bahamas and Castaway Cay, the weather was in the mid-70’s and quite comfortable to sunbathe in. The waters were cool and a bit chilly for me, but my pirate cubs did not notice the temperature and dived right in (I tend to be more affected by the cold).

If you are looking for the best temperature – then May is a wonderful time to travel because the water is warmer and the Bahamas is not too hot like it can be later in the year. If you sail before school is out, you may notice better pricing with the exception of Spring Break week which can cost a little more.

Jennifer, I hope this helps, but if you have more questions, please come back to “sea” us!
