Hi, Michelle! You are comparing 2 VERY different rooms! Here are your differences:
CONTEMPORARY:
-Walking distance to Magic Kingdom
-Sit-down restaurants plus food court
-Beautiful lobby with shops and the monorail zipping right through
-Easy access to Polynesian and Grand Floridian on monorail
-Huge pool with water slide
-Marina with boat rental
-Queen beds
-Tower rooms have amazing views of either Magic Kingdom or Bay Lake
-All the luxuries of a fine resort: great linens, spacious rooms, room service, and more
ALL-STAR MOVIES:
-Bus service to all locations
-Food Court only
-Pizza delivery available in the evenings
-Double beds
Obviously, you are going to get a LOT more luxury and convenience staying at Contemporary. But it comes at a price! While prices are subject to change, just for comparison I looked at a weekend night during the summer (regular season) and per night, All-Star is $120 and Contemporary/MK View is $520.
Your kids are going to love wherever you stay. It is up to you if you don't mind longer transportation times of the All-Star, or if the Contemporary's prices can fit your budget. Always check "special offers" at
www.disneyworld.com before booking - this is a great way to save money.
Good luck deciding and have a magical vacation!
