Hi! I am trying to decide b/w the BBB or the GF Princess Tea w/ Aurora (both are pretty pricey)for my 4 year old daughter - any suggestions?

Sounds like a very fun girly treat!

First let me say that I really don't hesitate to spend serious cash on my daughters, and especially not at Disney.  But I would not do the Perfectly Princess Tea with Aurora.

It's gotten great reviews from many of my friends who have gone.  However, several have also said that character interaction with Aurora is lacking.  Your daughter will also get a doll at this party.  We purchased these dolls for our daughters last fall, and they are not of good quality.  The leg fell off of one within a few weeks (repair estimate $45 - the same price as the doll).  The hair on both is a matted mess.  It's inferior quality hair and does not stay brushed out nice at all.  These were a big disappointment.

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is really great and something we do every trip.  However, we get the Crown package (roughly $50) and my girls wear dress-up costumes from home. The package that includes dress-up clothes is very pricey.  Since we already have dozens upon dozens of princess outfits, I just can't justify paying over $100 more for one outfit,

So, if it were me...I would buy a high-quality American Girl doll (usually $90) and a dress-up costume at home ($20 if you don't already have one).  At Disney I'd get the $50 makeover and a $25 Disney princess outfit for the doll.  Then head over to the Grand Floridian and have tea in the Garden View Lounge.  For maybe $35 you and your daughter (and her doll!) can have a lovely tea together.  If she'd rather have a character, maybe you could lunch in Cinderella' Castle.  Either way, you'd be spending less than the cost of the Perfectly Princess Tea (and roughly the same as the Castle (deluxe) package at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, but I think you'd get lot more bang for your buck.

Good luck with whatever you decide!

PS) All prices are rough estimates from my memory,  early 2008)
