Trying to decide btwn "preferred" room at CBR or new "royal room" at PO. My #1 concern is convenience to bus, pool & food (kids 6yr & 8 mth). It apppears Caribbean preferred rm would be more convenient vs. PO Royal Rm location.

    Hi Karla,

The Port Orleans Riverside "royal rooms" will be opening in 2012. My understanding is that they will be located in Oak Manor and Parterre Place buildings of this sprawling resort. If you were to stay in a royal room, your access to the main building would be via a nearby bridge. Your most convenient bus stop would be via the South Depot which is at the front of the main building.

The Caribbean Beach Resort is also very large. A preferred room in Martinique (buildings 24, 25 and 26) would put your family closest to the pool and food court at Old Port Royale. You would have two choices for bus stops - Martinique and Centertown depending on your room location. More preferred rooms are located in Trinidad North. If you were assigned a room in one of these buildings your walk to the resort's amenities would be comparable to the walk over at Port Orleans Riverside from the "royal rooms".

For overall convenience, I would recommend choosing Caribbean Beach Resort and put in a request (although not guaranteed) for a room in Martinique.

Best wishes to your family for a wonderful vacation!
