Trying to decide if it's better to book room at AKL in the main area or in kidani or jumbo villa studio room . Will be traveling with 2 children under the age of 5. What's the square footage of the rooms in the main AKL lodge?

Hi Carol! Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge (AKL) is an amazingly themed resort! Last summer my family of two adults and two children stayed in a Deluxe Savannah View Room on the fifth-floor of the main Lodge. We found these accommodations to be ample, luxurious, and quite comfortable. All rooms at AKL have balconies but views vary. Standard View Rooms located on the first, second, third, and fourth-floors are 344 sq. ft. Most rooms on the fourth-floor are reserved for Concierge guests. Most Deluxe Savannah View Rooms, including Club Level, are located on the fifth and sixth floors and are 381 sq. ft. Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas consists of two sister resorts, Jambo House and Kidani Village. Both Jambo House and Kidani Village have Studio Villas. Studio Villas at Jambo House can range from 316 sq. ft to 365 sq. ft and are located on the fifth and sixth floors of the Lodge. The Studio Villas at Kidani Village, both Standard View and Savannah View, are a bit more spacious at 366 sq. ft. If you will be relying on Disney transportation, please be advised that all theme park buses will stop at Kidani Village first and Jambo House last. The Downtown Disney bus reverses the route stopping at Jambo House first and Kidani Village last. Whatever your decision, I'm sure you'll have a fantastic and memorable stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge!
