    I am trying to decide the best week to go to Disney- week of Thanksgiving or December 6th? Is is very crowded at Thanksgiving and are the Christmas decorations up. Thanks

    Hi Maria:

    It's wonderful that you have flexible plans.  Disney World tends to be more crowded when schools are out of session.  Since most schools are out of session during Thanksgiving and most schools are in session during the week of December 6th, I would choose traveling during the week of December 6th.

    Although subject to change every year, Disney typically starts putting up Christmas decorations around the first week of November. By Thanksgiving, expect to see the parks fully decorated for the Holidays. In true Disney fashion, the decorations are generally set up at night, as if by magic.
