Hello, Amber!
Thanks so much for sending your question to Disney Parks Moms Panel!
You've picked some excellent resorts for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, and each one has some wonderful benefits that are unique to those properties.
My tween son and I loved
Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside for so many reasons! The beauty of the resort, the fun amenities of Ol' Man Island--complete with pool slide and hot tub--as well as dishes offered at two dining locations made us fall in love with property instantly. Closer to Disney Springs, this is a great choice, too, if you plan to spend any time exploring dining, shopping, and entertainment options there.
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort features a gorgeous island theme, and Fuentes del Morro Pool--featuring TWO water slides and a large spa--might please all three kids in your crew as well. With several dining options, you'll have some variety of on-site locations when your family would like to unwind, dine, and enjoy the property. A bonus feature of this resort is its connection to
Disney Skyliner, a very cool and super-efficient gondola system that connects this resort to
Disney's Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at
Epcot. (Seriously cool; I rode it just to try it out, and loved the experience!)
Over at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort, however, you'll enjoy expanded space in your Family Suite. What I love about these suites is that they feature a separate sleeping area (with TV), a kitchenette, living area (with TV), and two full bathrooms. With a bedroom in addition to the living area (which also features two sleeping spaces), it's easy to spread out at the end of a fun-filled day, enjoy a snack prepared in the kitchenette, and chat about the day's events...while planning more fun for the next. Should you wish to grab a quick bite at the resort, though,
Landscape of Flavors is, in my opinion, one of the most impressive Quick Service resort dining options on property. Bonus? This resort is ALSO a Disney Skyliner Resort.
In short, Amber, you have three gems here. When I pick our Walt Disney World Resort hotel, one consideration is always where we will spend most of our days. I'll usually choose the Resort hotel that puts us closer to the venue(s) we'll frequent most, reducing our travel time, and increasing our time to play. Next, I'll look at amenities, including dining and recreation. Is a pool slide important? Multiple dining options? A variety of modes of transportation? Each resort will check some boxes that the others won't. Pick what is most important, and your choice will be perfect!
