I am trying to connect tickets for a Genie+, we have 3 groups that need to be connected. Do I also have to add those tickets in my account to “guest” to link them as well or will those auto link since they are under my account?

Hello there, Erica! Thanks so much for dropping by planDisney with your ticket question. Your visit to Disneyland Resort will be here before you know it!

It sounds like you are wanting to make sure everyone in your party is somehow linked so you can easily navigate Disney Genie+ and make Lightning Lane selections for all of the tickets together. If that is what you are asking about then yes I think that is a great idea and it's actually what I recommend whenever there is a large party.

If you purchased all of these tickets, you are correct that they should all be linked to your Disney account already. I suggest you download the Disneyland app and double-check this. Once you are in the app, click on the three lines at the bottom right. Then click on "Ticket and Passes". If the tickets are linked to your account, you should see them all here and be able to swipe through them all. If they are not, you can add them by the barcode of the Ticket ID number. Once they are all linked, that is all you need to do. Unfortunately, the Disneyland app doesn't have a way of connecting Disney accounts as friends and family as the Walt Disney World app does.

What I also recommend you do though is encourage everyone or every family to create their own Disney account, download the Disneyland app, and link their tickets to their accounts as well. Tickets can be on more than one account, so you can have them linked and they can as well. Just share the Ticket ID number with them. This way if groups split off they have access to their tickets. I also recommend everyone add a credit card to their app so that they aren't wasting time typing in their credit card information if they need to buy Disney Genie+ once you enter the parks or every time they want to mobile order something.

Everyone should also receive a paper ticket once they are scanned in for the first time at the gates.

Erica, I hope this answered your question. If I got it wrong, please come back and ask again so we can get it right. See you real soon!
