I am trying to connect my magicband+ to my son's new disney account, but he receives a message that his has reached his scan limit.

    Hiya Kari!

Welcome to planDisney! I see that you are already here in the Parks so I will keep my answer short and to the point.

I reached out to Disney IT Cast Members, and they informed me that the message you received is not a standard error message for them. They stated that a new My Disney Experience Account should not be reaching any "scan limits" for MagicBand+ linking. In fact, there technically is no limit to how many bands or cards can be linked to an account. He did state however, that the suggested limit is less than 15 in case you were wondering. His solution, which I agree with wholeheartedly, is that since you are in the Parks, head to Guest Relations or any of the Cast Members from the Disney Experience Team under the blue umbrellas throughout the Park. They will be able to figure out why the band is not linking by looking at your account. Since I don't have access to your account as I am just a guest like you, this is my best piece of advice. You can still enter the Park using the Magic Mobile Service. Since the ticket is linked to his account, he can go on his app and click on the three stacked lines on the bottom right and then scroll to "Set up MagicMobile Entry." Follow the prompts and download the ticket to his smartphone's digital wallet.

The blue umbrella Guest Experience Team Cast Members are one of the best people to see when visiting the Parks. They can not only assist with this band issue but assist with problems associated with Lightning Lanes, dining reservations, and so much more. Their locations are usually scattered around the Parks but in prominent locations. In Magic Kingdom Park I have seen them near The Crystal Palace and near Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. (Ask for the secret Portuguese cheese bread appetizer if you eat here!) I have seen them in EPCOT on the way to enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and near the France Pavilion. They may move locations but look for the bright blue umbrellas!

I hope this helps and you have a fabulous vacation together!

    Happy Planning!
