Hi Cameron! Welcome to
planDisney, and thank you so much for reaching out. This is a really common situation, especially when trips are booked through third-party companies like airlines, so I'm glad you asked before getting too frustrated with the app. I know it can happen, haha!
What's most likely happening here is that the confirmation number you received from British Airways is valid on their system, but it isn't the same confirmation number Disney uses internally. When a vacation or hotel stay is booked through an outside company, there are often two separate reservation numbers floating around. One that works for the travel provider, and a different one that Disney needs in order to link everything inside
My Disney Experience. That's most likely why the app isn't recognizing the number you're trying to enter. It's not that anything is wrong with your reservation, it's probably just a mismatch between systems.
The easiest and most reliable way to resolve this is by calling the
Walt Disney World Resort help center directly. A Cast Member will be able to search for your reservation using details like your full name, travel dates, and the hotel you're staying at. Once they locate the reservation on Disney's side, they can help you get everything properly linked to your My Disney Experience account.
I recommend having your British Airways confirmation handy when you call, along with your dates and the number of Guests on the reservation, just in case. Cast Members deal with this exact scenario all the time and are very good at tracking things down, even when reservations were made outside of Disney's own website.
Cameron, I know it can feel stressful when the app won't cooperate, but rest assured that this is absolutely fixable, and a quick call should clear everything up. Once it's linked, you'll be able to see your plans, manage your stay, and enjoy the rest of your planning without any hiccups.
Warm hugs,
Ana Paula
