MagicBand is a fun accessory that will let you tap into convenience during your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It can be used to gain entry into the parks (with
valid admission and
park pass reservation), tap into
Lightning Lane entrances (arrival windows booked via the
My Disney Experience mobile app), connect with
Disney PhotoPass photographers, and more. Guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel can even use their MagicBand to unlock their hotel room door and charge food and merchandise purchases to the room. Pre-arrival MagicBands are available at a discounted price for Guests with a Disney Resort hotel reservation linked to their My Disney Experience account. I'm sorry to hear you're having a hard time placing your MagicBand order. I know that's frustrating; let's do some troubleshooting so you can tap into this magical discount.
When I log into my My Disney Experience account online and access the
MagicBands page (My Disney Experience menu --> My MagicBands and cards), I see "Your MagicBand Order" at the top. Below that is a large box with a panoramic image of my Disney Resort hotel with the words "MagicBand order for 7 Guests." Each member of my Family and Friends list connected to the resort reservation is listed below the resort image with their Disney character profile image and name. I click a blue "Get Started" button to proceed with the MagicBand selection process. Below the "Get Started" button are the details of my reservation and the number of days I have to complete my advance MagicBand order due to the shipping timeline. Below all of that resort reservation information is a "Link a MagicBand" section. So it sounds like you've found the right page, Charlie, but that your Resort reservation has not been successfully linked to your account.
You can
link a resort reservation or vacation package to your account by clicking "Select" underneath the resort icon. You will be asked to enter the confirmation number as well as the last name on the reservation. Once your resort reservation and all members of your planning party have been connected to the reservation and each other as
Family and Friends, you should see what I see when viewing your "My MagicBands and Cards" page. What a glorious sight it is! If the reservation is still not connecting, you might need the assistance of a helpful Cast Member at the
My Disney Experience and MagicBands number. MagicBands can also be purchased
online and linked to your My Disney Experience account before your trip, though not with a discount.
