Hey there, Natasha, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the planDisney panel with your question!
There’s one thing that Walt Disney World manages well: change! I enjoy booking Walt Disney World vacations because I know it allows for great planning flexibility. And that flexibility extends to you changing your Theme Park Ticket dates online. You should be able to make the change in just a few simple steps. I will be upfront in saying that the process is slightly different depending on if you purchased your Theme Park Tickets individually or as part of a Walt Disney World Vacation Package. But never fear! Since I don’t know the specifics of your scenario, I’ll do my best to cover them both!
Natasha, if your
Theme Park Tickets were purchased as part of a Disney Vacation Package (alongside a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel stay) then you will need to modify your hotel reservation in order to edit your Theme Park Tickets. First, log in to your
My Disney Experience Account and locate your upcoming reservation under the My Plans, Reservations, and Tickets section of your account. Select the “Change Reservation” option and scroll down to the Theme Park Tickets section on the next page. Click the “Change” link and edit your Theme Park Ticket dates.
If you purchased Theme Park tickets separately, you can also change those dates in your My Disney Experience account. After you successfully log in to your account, select the Theme Park Tickets that you would like to modify and choose “Change Ticket”. You will then have the option to edit your ticket dates.
In both scenarios noted above keep in mind that Walt Disney World uses date-based pricing for Theme Park Tickets. So if there is a difference in price between your original tickets and the new dates you’d like to purchase, you will be prompted to pay the difference at checkout. Additionally, if your Theme Park Tickets already have
the Genie+ Service, the system may remove it automatically as you make the changes since Genie+ is no longer available as a pre-arrival add-on. If you fall in this bucket, I recommend speaking with a Cast Member by phone to see if they can make the changes to your account without removing your Genie+ Service.
If you run into any more trouble changing your ticket dates, you can reach out to an
Existing Tickets Cast Member at (407) 934-7639 for further assistance. And since Guests are currently required to have valid theme park tickets and
Disney Park Pass reservations to enter the Theme Parks, be sure to cancel your old park reservations and make new ones after you select your new arrival date.
I hope this helps, Natasha! If you have more questions,
stop back by and let me know!
You’ve got a friend in me,
PG
