Hi there, Daniel. Welcome to planDisney and thank you for trusting us with your question. I'll be delighted to help today.
It sounds like you're well aware that Guests visiting Disneyland Resort need to have both a
valid theme park ticket and park reservation for each of the days they wish to enter the theme parks. In general, the ticket and park reservation system will only allow you to select dates for which you have valid admission (accounting for any applicable blockout or expiration dates). However, it is also possible that the theme park reservations have been fully reserved for the dates you are looking to book. That usually appears on the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar with a slash through any dates that are full. Similarly, you can view availability for Magic Key Pass reservations on the
Magic Key Calendar. If you don't immediately see reservations available, please don't despair! Sometimes you'll notice that Guests change or cancel their plans which can update the reservation inventory for new bookings.
One other possibility is that your original ticket may not be valid on your new intended visit date. For example, if you purchased a
1-Day ticket, you'll notice that there are applicable blockout dates by Tier, based on the date of your original purchase. If you wish to use that ticket on a date that was originally blocked out, you would need to
upgrade the ticket to a higher Tier.
Now, Daniel if you are still having trouble with your park reservation request, I recommend calling a Cast Member directly by using the
Tickets line. They can assist by looking up your account information and identifying exactly what might be going on with the reservation availability so you can make informed decisions about what to do next! I hope you have a wonderful
holiday visit to the Disneyland Resort and if we can lend any other recommendations in the meantime, please feel welcome to visit
planDisney again soon!
Magically yours,
Tishra
