Hello! I am trying to buy tickets for my daughters who are going on a trip this week and they are planning on going to the parks alone. They are both 17 and I was wondering if they qualify for the Florida resident tickets? And also how they could enter

    Hi Shirel! Welcome to planDisney.

How fun for your daughters! Walt Disney World Resort is a perfect Spring Break getaway. Your young ladies will arrive in time to catch the last few days of The World's Most Magical Celebration. You pose an important question with a few important takeaways. Let's cover those.

First, I am assuming you are trying to avoid your presence at theme parks. In order to do that as the purchaser, you should use online Florida Residence verification. At the time of purchase, make sure you have proper identification ready to submit. This can be done online at the time of purchase by filling out the "Your Florida Resident Information." Alternatively, through the My Disney Experience Mobile App, submit your information at the "Customize Your Tickets" step. If you do not do this step at the time of purchase, as the purchaser, you will need to be present to activate tickets and prove residency at Walt Disney World Resort. If you need further assistance, call the New Tickets Help Center to speak to a Cast Member.

Once their tickets are activated, they can create a Disney MagicMobile Digital Pass to enter the parks or use any active MagicBand, MagicBand+, or ticket card. Please note, minors cannot store a form of payment through the app. I suggest sending them with Disney Gift Cards to make purchases to limit the amount of cash needed in the parks. Digital Disney Gift Cards numbers can be stored in the notes of your smartphone and easily copy and pasted into the form of payment when using Mobile Order for food purchases. The same thing goes for Individual Lightning Lane or Disney Genie+ Service purchases. This is a huge time saver.

I am wishing your girls a fun and safe visit to The World's Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any further questions, please feel free to stop by planDisney anytime. We are here to help.
