Hi Jennifer! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
Disney California Adventure Park closes early on your preferred date because of the separate ticketed party,
Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party, which is being held that night. This event is sold out. Guests without a separate ticket to the nighttime party are required to exit the park by 6 PM.
I'm sorry if that's not the news you were hoping for, but there are some options open to you. If
theme park reservations are
available for Disneyland Park, you can select that park and be unaffected by the party time, or you can take advantage of one of the typical benefits of party days in Disney California Adventure Park: lower crowds during the day! You might end up being able to do more in less time on a party day at Disney California Adventure Park with shorter queues. And no matter where you decide to spend your park time, you'll experience spooky good fun associated with Halloween Time at the Disneyland
Resort.
It's up to you! But I would make that purchase soon since this is a popular time of the year to visit and parks and dates can fill up. You won't want to miss out on a hauntingly good time. If you're visiting Disney California Adventure Park before the party, try out one of the festive overlays on select attractions, like
Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark in Avengers Campus. While you're over there, grab a
Witch of Westview's Cold Brew, one of the Halloween special offerings available outside of the party, at Pym Test Kitchen. They had me at "Marshmallow Milk." I feel like it would be the perfect match for my go-to snack at that location, the Quantum Pretzel, and give me the afternoon super boost I need to power through the rest of my park day.
Boo to you!
Elizabeth
