Hiya, Jed!
Welcome BACK to planDisney! How exciting that your next Disney adventure is taking you out west to where the magic all started -
Disneyland Resort!I've run into this issue a few times myself, and I have a few hashtag
Disney Gift Card hacks that will hopefully help you out:
~The first idea is that you can combine
Disney Gift Card balances online at
DisneyGiftCard.com. When on the main page, scroll about two-thirds of the way down to the 'My Cards' section to find the 'Balance Transfer' section. (You can also select 'My Cards' from the link bar at the top of the page.) Do note that at the time of this answer, there is a maximum balance amount of *$1000 USD per gift card. Once transferred, the card with the now larger amount should be ready to use immediately.
~If the total of your
Theme Park Admission Ticket purchase is still over the amount on your combined, single gift card, you could split the transaction up to where one or two tickets can be totally covered by the amount of your gift card, pay for those tickets, set up another purchase transaction, use another combined gift card, etc.
~If you get to the point where the remaining funds on the Disney Gift Card won't cover the total cost of your last ticket(s), it might be a good idea to purchase the last pass(es) with a credit card and then use the Mickey money on the gift card to pay for your
Disneyland dining and
souvenEARs during your visit. Disney Gift Cards are accepted at every Disney-owned location in
Disneyland Park,
Disney California Adventure Park, and the
Downtown Disney District. (Third-party locations that might not accept Disney Gift Cards are mostly in the Downtown Disney District.)
The other idea is you can also reach out to the Disneyland Ticket Helpline where a helpful Cast Member should be able to process both of your Gift Cards
and an additional form of payment in one transaction. The phone number is (714) 781-4636.
Bonus Tip: Both
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering and
Merchandise Mobile Checkout in your
Disneyland Mobile App now accept Disney Gift Cards as a form of payment! Sadly, Disney Gift Card information cannot be stored in your profile like your credit card can, however, the workaround on that one is to save your Disney Gift Card number and access code in a note in your phone, and then copy and paste the payment info when you're in the checkout screen.
I hope that this helped to clEAR your question up, Jed! Be sure to follow the
official planDisney Panel Instagram account for even more tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disney parks vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
