Hey there Arlene! Thanks so much for bringing another great question to planDisney. Tickets are the first exciting step to planning your Disneyland Resort visit and I'd be happy to help you out!
I have good news and bad news for you. Unfortunately, you cannot add a
Park Hopper option to just one day of a multi-day ticket. The good news is that the cost of what it would be to add the Park Hopper option to one day is the same as if you add it to your entire multi-day ticket! This means you can purchase your 2-day ticket with the Park Hopper option for both days for the price you were trying to add for just one day.
Once you have selected the ticket type you want on the Disneyland website, you will be directed to choose the dates you want to visit and the park before checkout. These will be your
theme park ticket reservations that are required along with a valid ticket. When you select your park, it will say something like "all day" next to it even if you are making selections for a Park Hopper. Do not worry, at 1 p.m., you will be able to begin park hopping for the day.
After you have tickets purchased and your theme park ticket reservations, you'll be ready to plan all the extras! The next step would be to see if you were wanting to make any
advanced dining reservations, which can be made 60 days in advance. While you can have a perfectly magical trip enjoying quick service meals, I do love trying to schedule at least one dining reservation during our trip. My favorite is
Lamplight Lounge in Disney California Adventure Park. It has great food and drinks and the best views of Pixar Pier!
Arlene, I hope that this information helps you out. Please come back and visit us again with any other questions you have along the way! See you real soon!
