Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Terry.
Giving the gift of year-long magic is an incredibly thoughtful gift, Terry. How lucky are the recipients! I've been a
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder for years now and absolutely love it, I'm sure they will too!
At this time, the sale of most Walt Disney World Annual Passes has been temporarily suspended. We aren't sure when they will be available for sale again. Currently, the
Disney Pixie Dust Pass is the only offering available. The Disney Pixie Dust Pass is only available to Florida residents and includes use on most weekdays but does have some blockout dates including peak and holiday times.
If you are looking to purchase a different annual pass for a gift, you'll need to wait until the program comes back for sale. Since we don't know when that is going to be, I suggest purchasing a
Disney Gift Card to give instead with the value of the annual pass on it. Then, when the Walt Disney World Annual Pass program opens back up for sale, they can use that to purchase the new annual pass. It's a great option because you are still able to give the gift this holiday season and then they can use it when the program returns. You can purchase Disney Gift Cards at most major retail locations or online.
Terry, I'd imagine that the sale of new Walt Disney World Annual Passes will probably open up after the holiday season. Christmastime is always really busy at Walt Disney World and I suspect that this was a way of controlling the crowds a bit since Walt Disney World is still operating at a limited capacity. Be sure to keep an eye out over on the
Disney Parks Blog for announcements regarding the Walt Disney World Annual Pass program. I'm sure we will hear something soon.
If you have any other questions about this or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help. Happy holidays!
