I am trying to budget my dining costs and need to know if I need to pay for my 2 year old to eat at a character breakfast/lunch? I know that the dining plans are for children 3 and up but if I do not have a dining plan do I still have to pay for him to eat

    Hi Jessica,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I have good news for you. You will not have to pay for your little one at any Walt Disney World restaurant unless you want to order a kids meal just for him. As long as you share with him -- either from your plate at restaurants where you order from the menu or from the buffet at those that offer that dining option -- he eats free. This includes the character meals.

I hope that helps. For other tips on traveling to Walt Disney World with a preschooler, you may want to check out the special section of the Disney website on traveling with small children. It has lots of great tips to help you and your child have a wonderful vacation together.

Please let us know if we can do anything else to assist as you make your plans. Enjoy!
