Hello! So I am trying to book a vacation at one of my home resorts. I don't have enough points from that contract to cover the stay but if I could use points from another home resorts, I would. I read that I can do that at 7 months? How does it work?

    Hey Howdy Hey, Elisa!

You are as welcome as can be here at planDisney!  How wonderful that you have multiple contracts.  My parents also have multiple Disney Vacation Club contracts and it's a wonderful way to maximize the magic of your Membership.

One of the ways to maximize having more than one contract, Elisa, is that you can actually transfer your Vacation Points from one of your contracts to another. As long as you are listed as Member on both contracts, Member Services can do this for you.  In doing this, you would have enough Vacation Points to book the Home Resort of your choice.

To do this, you can contact Member Services who can help you transfer the Vacation Points and even help you make the reservation if you like.  This would probably be the easiest way to book the Resort that is the wish your heart makes.

Otherwise, you are correct, your Home Resorts can be booked beginning 11 months from your arrival date and all other Disney Vacation Club Resorts can be booked beginning 7 months from your arrival date.  But I would recommend doing the transfer I mentioned above as it will be a lot easier for you and give you one reservation instead of two.

I hope this helps, Elisa!  If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, stop back and see me here because you've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon,
