Welcome to planDisney - it's always great to get to answer a question from a fellow Arizonan! I'm thrilled to see you're planning a trip for later this spring. Late April is a really great time to visit the Happiest Place on Earth.
I'm a big fan of staying at one of the
hotels of the Disneyland Resort. They really add some extra magic to your stay.
Pixar Place Hotel is a really fun option, and while it does currently have an entrance nearby into
Disney California Adventure Park, that specific entrance is only available until January 4, 2026.
However, Hakuna Matata, Sylvia! You can still use the entrance to Disney California Adventure Park through
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. This is actually my preferred entrance, because in my experience you can tend to bypass some of the crowds near the main entrance.
Using this entrance when coming from Pixar Place Hotel and/or the Disneyland Hotel should save you some steps from going all the way around to the main entrance as well!
As you continue to plan your trip, keep an eye on the
Seasonal Events Calendar page to see what other fun things will be happening during your visit like the tail end of the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. I'm very much led around the parks by my stomach during my visits and there are almost always some special food and beverage options as part of these fun seasonal events.
