EPCOT is showing operating hours through sixty days out, and, as of writing this answer, there are
dining reservations available for sixty days from now. However, there is currently no reservation availability before then. This all points to the restaurant being open but being full for dining reservations. I would recommend checking back on the website or through the
My Disney Experience mobile app periodically as your trip approaches. You may also want to see if the "Join Walk-Up List" is available in the mobile app on the day of your visit as a backup plan. Of course, there are other options in the Japan Pavilion, one of which I highly recommend:
Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya. While not hibachi, the offerings and atmosphere here are outstanding.
One of my favorite things to do around the entirety of the
Walt Disney World Resort is stroll and snack my way through EPCOT. And since you'll be visiting in September, it'll be a great time to do just that. The
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will be running from August 27 to November 21, 2026, and features
Global Marketplaces throughout the park, increasing those food and snacking options tenfold. I just love a good EPCOT festival, and since this is the original, it stands out with some pretty amazing offerings, diverse options, and a plethora of choices.
