Hi there, Layne!
I'm so excited to hEAR you are planning a Walt Disney World vacation for this November! You'll be able to join in on all the fun during
The World's Most Magical Celebration, an 18-month celebration of Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary, beginning October 1. With two new
Nighttime Spectaculars,
Beacons of Magic, the
Disney Fab 50 Character Collection, and the grand opening of
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure in Epcot, it's going to be a celebration to remember!
With all the amazing dining options available to Guests, planning where to dine is a major part of planning any Disney trip. I can understand wanting to include the Disney Dining package with your vacation package, as my family has always enjoyed the benefits of the
Disney Dining Plan. When we opt to include the dining plan, we tend to splurge on more upscale dining experiences than when we are paying out of pocket for our meals. It's nice to take care of the cost of dining upfront, and not have to reach for our wallets every time we eat while enjoying our Disney vacation! During Walt Disney World Resort's phased reopening, select Guest offerings have been paused until further notice, and, unfortunately, the Disney Dining Plan is one of these offerings at this time.
While there have been rumors of a return of the Disney Dining Plan, there have been no restart dates announced just yet. I'm hoping that we will hear details about a Disney Dining Plan relaunch soon. The good news is, if the Disney Dining Plan comes back before your trip, you
should be able to add the dining plan to your vacation package up to 48 hours before your arrival date, as that's how it's worked in the past.
When there's breaking news about the return of Guest offerings and benefits,
Disney Parks Blog is usually the first place to report it. I'll be keeping my eyes and EARS open for any news about the return of the Disney Dining Plan, and I encourage you to do the same. In the meantime,
check out this post to learn how my fellow planDisney panelist
Jackie H budgets for dining when her family visits Walt Disney World!
Thanks again for stopping by planDisney - have a magical day!
