Welcome to planDisney, Richard! It looks like you have a six-year-old whom you want to enjoy the
Youth Clubs during your Disney Cruise Line vacation. These are amazing experiences for kids, entertaining and engaging them in the magic of Disney while at sea.
For your child to enjoy these areas, you need to pre-register them, but you do not need to reserve specific times for them to go. Pre-registration can be done online before sailing or at the
Oceaneer Club once onboard. You will need to stop by the Oceaneer Club to pick up an armband (much like a MagicBand but exclusive to youth and the onboard Clubs). It is a great time to meet the counselors and ensure you are set up for drop-offs and pick-ups. My kids are now too old for Oceaneers, but we still go during the Open House times and have fun playing and seeing this world created for the young and young-at-heart.
The
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App will be helpful during your cruise. This is how the counselors will communicate with you if your child wants to be picked up or if any needs arise and they need to get in touch with you. I always enjoyed the counselors sharing where my kids spent their time in the Club, giving me prompts to ask about what they did and what they enjoyed the most.
I am so glad you found
planDisney, and please come back with questions as you plan your adventure at sea.
Happy Cruising!
