Hi Ben! We are so happy to have you here at planDisney, and I'm excited to help you with your travel arrangements and itinerary for your time in Batuu!
You will definitely want to prepare for anything while you are in a galaxy far, far away, so a stop at
Savi's Workshop for a handbuilt lightsaber is an excellent idea. While reservations
can open up as early as 60 days in advance, the schedule is left up to Savi and sometimes he opens it at 45 days or even less. I just took a look and have some great news for you! It looks like he has opened the calendar up through October 19th, so you should now be able to secure a spot for October 8th! These can fill up quickly, so you are smart to be booking it as far in advance as possible. I would go ahead and grab a reservation as soon as you can.
While you are in Batuu, you will definitely want to stop by
Oga's Cantina to refresh and refuel before you light-speed off to Frontierland. This is a very popular galactic watering hole, so advanced reservations may be hard to come by. I do have an intergalactic quick tip for you that some of my fellow panelists have used to slip into Oga's. The relatively new
Mobile Dine Walk Up Availability option in the Disneyland Mobile App allows you to add your name to a waitlist for same-day tables at some participating dining locations. While it's not a guarantee, it's certainly worth a try! When you arrive at the parks, head into your mobile app and click on the "+" in the bottom navigation bar. Select "Check Dining Availability", enter your party size, the date, and "Now" as the time. You will see a list of restaurants that have same-day availability! The best part is that you will get a notification directly to your phone once it's time to head over so you can enjoy the rest of
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge while you wait! Hopefully, you'll be enjoying a Blue Bantha and some Batuu bites before you know it.
Ben, I hope this was helpful! If you have any more questions, be sure to reach back out to us. We are always here for you at
planDisney.
May the force be with you,
Tara
