Welcome to planDisney, Laura.
A trip to Walt Disney World in early November sounds wonderful! This is arguably the best time of the year to visit. The weather is perfect and the crowds are a bit lower. Hopefully, the Christmas decorations will be up by then too! One of my favorite things to do is visit the Resorts and see the unique Christmas décor each one has to offer. What's not to love?
I'm sorry that you're having trouble making a room reservation for
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. I tried checking availability during the month of November and it does appear that this Resort is booked up. It's possible that there will be cancelations over the upcoming months. Therefore, rooms might become available again. However, you might want to book another hotel in the meantime. That way you can secure accommodation for your trip. You can then keep checking those dates for the Polynesian Village Resort to see if anything opens up. I'm sorry if that's disappointing, Laura.
There are some other fantastic options when it comes to Disney Resorts. If you're hoping to stay on the monorail loop, then
Disney's Contemporary Resort would be an excellent choice. You could even walk to Magic Kingdom Park from here! The restaurant choices at the Contemporary are second-to-none.
California Grill is a personal favorite of mine (I didn't think I've ever had such tasty sushi) and offers great views of
Seven Seas Lagoon and
Disney Enchantment. There's also the new kid on the block,
Steakhouse 71. This 70s-inspired restaurant offers a delicious menu that Walt himself would have been proud of. And of course, you can even enjoy breakfast with Mickey and his pals at
Chef Mickey's! There's something so relaxing about being able to experience a delectable meal and then walk to your hotel room.
Another nearby option is
Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Adventure is out there! I love the great outdoors vibe of this Resort. You'll be in awe of the majestic lobby. The pool areas will bring a perfect blend of excitement and relaxation to your soul. There's also a brilliant array of restaurants to choose from, such as
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White or
Whispering Canyon Cafe. If you did stay at this Resort, Laura, then here's a tip: try catching a water taxi back to Magic Kingdom Park when Disney Enchantment is starting. I recently did this and was able to enjoy a free fireworks cruise! It was magical!
So you have some pretty great options, Laura. I hope you find what you're looking for. As Dory says, "When life gets you down, you know what you gotta do? Just keep swimming."
Thanks for stopping by planDisney. See ya real soon!
