Welcome to planDisney Maria Inmaculada! I’m so glad you stopped by with your question about planning your next
Disney World vacation. Traveling from far away adds an extra layer of planning, and I’m excited to help you figure out how to balance your hotel stay with the right number of park days so your trip is smooth, stress free, and full of magical moments from the very first day!
It is possible to book a Disney World vacation where you stay at a hotel for more nights than the number of days you have park tickets.
Disney vacation packages usually have a minimum requirement of two days of park tickets if you are booking a hotel and tickets together, so you can’t book a package with only one park day. However, if you are planning a longer hotel stay, you are allowed to purchase fewer ticket days than your total nights.
In your case, since you won’t be going to the parks on your first day, you can book six nights at a Disney hotel and purchase only five days of tickets. The first day of your stay would simply be a non-park day, and you would begin using your tickets starting the following day. Disney’s system allows you to select the exact number of ticket days you want when building your package, even if it’s fewer than the total number of nights you are staying.
I hope this helps you get everything set up for your magical adventure at Walt Disney World Resort! Thank you for visiting planDisney, and have a pixie dusted day!
