Hiya Colleen!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by to ask us your magical question! As a fellow foodie and sweet tooth-haver, I am glad you want to try one of the delicious dessert parties at the Walt Disney World Resort. These events are not only a great way to try some tasty treats, but they also give you access to seriously great views of the fireworks.
I am sorry that you are experiencing some issues booking your dessert party! Looking through the
August monthly calendar, I can see that August 12th, 2022, will be the night of the first
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Since the Magic Kingdom Park closes to regular guests at six P.M. on Halloween party nights,
Disney Enchantment is not available on these dates, so it would make sense that dessert parties would not be offered. As for the other dates, however, the Disney Enchantment schedule shows that it is set to go on as usual on non-party nights. In this case, I would suggest that you keep an eye on the
reservation website and reach out to the Reservation center again at another time, as availability can truly change at any time. As Remy once said: "the only thing predictable about life is its unpredictability."
Now, Colleen, the Magic Kingdom Park is not the only place where you can get all kinds of treats at this time of year! Indeed, did you know that the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is returning on July 14th, 2022, with new food items for you and your little chefs to try? My biggest recommendation when visiting EPCOT festivals is to read through the
Disney Parks Blog foodie guides and grab a festival passport at the theme park's entrance so you can get an idea of which
food items you would like to try. I highly recommend that you try the Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake with Irish Cream Liqueur Custard at the Ireland booth, a classic at the festival, and the Passion Fruit Cheesecake with Toasted Macadamia Nuts at the Hawaii booth. Plus, the latter is part of
Emile's Fromage Montage, a culinary trail where each item gets you a stamp in your booklet. Once you have received all your stamps, you will be able to get a complimentary treat! While it is a great way to discover new items, you can also get some of the items more than once.
I know this probably was not the answer you were looking for, but I hope we could still send some pixie dust your way. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your trip or if you need more food recommendations, please don't hesitate to reach back out. You and me, we're in a club now!
À bientôt et bon appétit,
Ariane
