Trying to book a hotel room for group of 8 (2 rooms 4 people per room) for one night it does not allow me to select a park ticket. Do you have to buy more than one day worth of tickets in order to stay on property? Also want to make dining reservations!

    Hi Katie,

Thank you for visiting us today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. An autumn vacation to Walt Disney World sounds wonderful, especially during Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

You can book a stay at a Disney Resort hotel by making a room-only reservation or a Magic Your Way Vacation Package. The latter includes Theme Park Tickets, and you can add a Disney Dining Plan. This option however, requires a minimum of two day Tickets.

In order to purchase single day Tickets, you must make a room-only reservation and then purchase them separately. If you are interested in adding a Dining Plan, you can actually book a ticketless Magic Your Way Vacation Package, however these must be booked via a travel agent, or by speaking to a Vacation Planning Specialist at (407) 939-1936. They can also help you to link both reservations together. You would then be able to purchase single-day Tickets, and then Link it all in My Disney Experience.

One last tip: you can make dining reservations up to 180 days in advance, without the need to hold a Resort reservation. Just visit the Walt Disney World restaurants and reservations page. Happy planning!
