Hiya Keeley and welcome to planDisney!
They say everyone in the world has a twin somewhere and you must be mine. Both of us have upcoming visits to the Walt Disney World Resort with 10 people in our travel party this September. In the past, we would stay in resorts off the property and only eat snacks and Quick Service meals during our visits to the parks. Well, times have changed and I've learned my way around the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels and some
Advanced Dining Reservations now. Let this Snack Queen show you what I know!
Keeley, be aware that although those sweet little adventurers under 3 years old are Guests of Mickey and don't require
Theme Park Tickets or
Theme Park Reservations via the Disney Park Pass System, they still need to be included in the number when you make Advanced Dining Reservations. With that in mind, making reservations with a party of 10 can sometimes take some extra finessing. For some of my reservations, I made them using 2 separate
My Disney Experience accounts. For example, I made a reservation at
Yak & Yeti Restaurant with my account for a party of 5 and one with my mom's account for a party of 5. This way both reservations are set for the same time. The plan is to get to the restaurant a little early and ask the Cast Member at the podium if we can be seated together or at least near each other. While there are no guarantees, especially at super busy meal times, the cast members will do their best to accommodate you. If this involves a bit of a wait, remember to be patient while those Cast Members give it their all.
Pro-tip: Don't forget to include a meal at
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' in your number of reservations. Out of all the ones I made, that one was the easiest to make for 10 people. Plus the food and the staff just feel like time with family should.
Keeley, I hope I've been able to get you and your family dining with ease. If you have any other questions about the ins and outs of planning for a party this big or fall fun at The Most Magical Place on Earth,
just come and ask me. I'm happy to help!
Happy planning!
