Hi Charles,
Welcome to planDisney!
Charles, sorry to hear that you haven’t found a reservation for the
Droid Depot at the Walt Disney World Resort just yet. You’re correct, the advance reservations for experiences like this begin
60 days in advance of a guest’s trip to the Resort. If a guest is staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, they are able to book
up to 60 days in advance of their arrival to their hotel. So, depending on where a guest is staying, they may be able to book at an earlier time. Definitely keep this tip in mind for the next time!
Now, as you progress to your vacation, I do have a few other tips so you can hopefully score your Droid Depot reservation. First, check the reservations page often in between now and your vacation! Cancellations can happen, so you’ll want to keep looking on this page to see if any availability frees up.
Next, remain flexible! I say this because, the Droid Depot has limited same-day reservations
up to two hours in advance and walk-ins may be welcome depending on the day’s availability. Both of these options are subject to availability, but if you arrive to
Disney’s Hollywood Studios early enough, you may be able to grab a spot. If you’re flexible in your plan or you have a Park Hopper, it might be worth scheduling a day or two at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the morning so you can confirm with the Cast Members at the Droid Depot check-in area if there’s any availability.
I know this wasn’t the answer you were wishing for, but I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is useful as you continue to plan for your trip. If you have other planning or vacation questions,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
