    I am trying to book my dinner reservations for a holiday in October 2016 and a lot of the restaurants are showing no availability eg, cross road house of blues, tusker house, rainforest cafe etc. would this be correct? do they get booked up this early?

    Hi Helen Elizabeth,

    Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your question.  The first response would be yes, the more popular restaurants book up very quickly (even this early) because guests can make their Advanced Dining Reservations up to 180 days before their arrival.  If you are staying at a Disney World Resort hotel you get an additional 10 days of early booking.

    I've run in to this problem myself in the past.  Many times it's because I was booking for too many people.  The online system is designed to not book if you are requesting a reservation for a number larger than their biggest table.  For example, let's say the restaurant's largest table seats 8 and you are trying to book for 10; you will not find availability.    My best advice is to call Disney Dining directly in the UK at 0800 16 90 748. The reservation specialist can tell you what places/times are available and they can book for larger groups too.

    You can keep trying to book your first choices online.  Many guests book reservations and then cancel their plans because they've decided to do something else.  I've gotten really lucky because of this.
