Hi Malynda,
Thanks for visiting planDisney! Snagging your desired dining reservations can be the cherry on top of a wonderful Disneyland Resort trip. I just love knowing I have some excellent dining experiences to look forward to. I'm happy to provide you with some insight on navigating the reservation system.
Keep in mind that dining reservations can be made 60 days in advance. You may have looked at the reservation schedule just a tad too early for some restaurants. As I write this, I’m checking
dining reservations for November 3rd, and I see a lot of options still available. Dash on over and see if your desired location and time are open!
If, for whatever reason, you're unable to secure a reservation, I recommend swinging by the restaurant when it opens. Some places have slots available for same-day reservations, and others might offer a virtual Walk-Up List you can join through the
Disneyland app. Be sure to enable your phone’s location services and be nearby to make it work!
As one final note, your vacation falls during what I personally consider the “twilight zone” of the event calendar:
Halloween is over, but
the Holidays haven’t quite started yet (they begin November 14). According to a recent article from the Disney Parks Blog, the
70th Anniversary entertainment is slowly being paused. Wondrous Journeys and the Celebrate Happy Cavalcade was
paused during the Halloween season, and this will continue into the Holidays. Additionally, the Paint the Night parade will now be
paused for the Holiday season. Be sure to check the
daily entertainment schedule to see what's being offered during your visit.
I hope this helps with your planning, Malynda! If you have any more questions or need a little extra pixie dust, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always here to help make your Disney dreams come true!
Happy dining!
– Melinda
