I am trying to book dining reservations for our group of 7 in Disneyland. It won’t give me reservation options for 7 but will show me availability if I split our group in half. How can I guarantee we can sit together even if we book for the same time?

Hi there, Kiana! Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you decided to send a question our way so we can help you plan your upcoming visit to Disneyland Resort!

Let me start by saying that I think you are absolutely on track with the strategies you've already used. Some dining locations have availability for larger parties and may offer reservations for your group of 7 Guests, while others may not be able to accommodate that in the reservation system. However, my recommendation is to do exactly what you suggest which is to make dining reservations for smaller groups of, say, 3 Guests and 4 Guests. You'll need to secure the help of another adult in your party who can make the second reservation because the system may not permit you to hold conflicting reservations. Hopefully, you can confirm dining reservations within 15-20 minutes of each other at the same location.

Then, I recommend you arrive at your selected restaurant a little bit early for your dining reservation. Kindly ask the Cast Member at the host station if they would be able to combine your reservations into one dining party. It is not guaranteed, but they will do their best to seat you together or at tables very near one another.

Kiana, I have a few other suggestions for traveling as a large party that might be helpful for you to browse as you continue planning your visit. If you have other questions that come up or need additional inspiration for your trip, please feel welcome to come back and visit planDisney again soon. We'd love to have you!

    Wishing you Wondrous Journeys,
