Hello, Catherine,
From one Beehive State resident to another, welcome to planDisney. It’s a privilege to help a fellow Guest make the most of a visit to the Disneyland Resort.
Dining reservations at the Disneyland Resort may be made up to 60 days in advance for most restaurants. Due to the limited capacity and very high popularity of many of the table service restaurants, reservations are often quite scarce. Many of the most sought-after restaurants are fully booked very soon after they are released. But there is still hope. At most restaurants, Guests have until two hours before their reservation to cancel without penalty. It often helps to keep checking for openings. You never know when another Guest may need to change their plans. I find that one or two days before a visit is when many reservations become available again. And, of course, the last few hours before a particular time can be another time when openings pop up.
If possible, it may be helpful to be as flexible as possible. That could mean looking for reservations at other restaurants; for example,
Goofy's Kitchen at the
Disneyland Hotel typically has a great deal of capacity. It could also mean checking for dining times that are earlier or later than traditional meal times. Many restaurants also offer a
mobile walk-up list. We’ve had lots of luck finding availability simply by checking the app frequently.
Tony’s Tip: Be sure to take advantage of the many amazing
quick service restaurants at the Disneyland Resort as well. Most of them even offer convenient
mobile food and beverage orders.
May you have a most delicious time at the Disneyland Resort, Catherine. And thanks for letting planDisney be a part of planning your special visit to The Happiest Place on Earth!
