    We're trying to best budget our time for our 1st Disney vacation. We have an almost two-year-old girl and a boy who turns 5 during the trip. Would you recommend the Animal Kingdom attractions or Hollywood Studios activities more for this age group?

    Hi Jen ~

    A first trip to Disney World is always amazing! Be sure to pick up your "1st Visit" buttons at your Disney Resort Hotel or any theme park Guest Relations location. You never know what pixie dust will come your way.

    Disney's Hollywood Studios (DHS) and Animal Kingdom (AK) are both fantastic parks and offer something for every age. Here are suggestions for each park:

    DHS
    * For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
    * Wandering Oaken's Frozen Snowground
    * Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage
    * Your 5 year old will love Jedi Training Academy
    * Muppet*Vision 3D
    * Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure
    * Disney Junior - Live on Stage!
    * Toy Story Midway Mania!
    * Voyage of the Little Mermaid
    * Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!
    * Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show
    * Fantasmic!
    There are great character meet and greets including preschool favorites Sofia, Jake, and Lightning McQueen. They have a great character buffet for breakfast and lunch at Hollywood & Vine.

    Here are some fun things at AK for little ones:
    * Festival of the Lion King
    * Kilimanjaro Safaris
    * Rafiki's Planet Watch
    * Flights of Wonder
    * The Boneyard
    * Finding Nemo - The Musical
    * Tricera Top Spin
    * Affection Section
    * Fossil Fun Games
    * It's Tough to be a Bug
    * Wilderness Explorers
    * Several trails to see some amazing wildlife
    * Great character meet and greets including Dug and Russell

    If your kids love animals and exploring, AK is perfect. It is a very laid back park but it is also the largest of the 4 theme parks.

    I would think about what your kids are really into right now but you can't go wrong with either one.

    Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
