Hi Michelle, welcome back to planDisney!
It's nice to see you're planning your next Walt Disney World adventure. A stay at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort sounds like an absolute dream! This tropical paradise boasts easy access to Magic Kingdom park, one of the best pools on Disney property, and nightly fireworks views on the beach. In the food department you've got 'Ohana noodles, DOLE Whips, and tonga toast. Life does not get much better than that!
It sounds like you and I plan our Disney vacations similarly. I like to have my
tickets and
theme park reservations in place at least 60 days before arrival so I can map out my
advanced dining reservations. I specifically take into account seasonal special events and the extended evening theme park hours schedule.
As part of Disney's Halfway to Halloween celebration, I was very excited to learn about the return of
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year. My kids have already signed a nap agreement and I'll be trying to book our tickets later this month. They're especially excited to see the Boo-to-You Halloween Parade and Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, which are both unique to the party. Specific parade and fireworks times have not yet been released, but my nap agreement was based on the 2019 fireworks time of 10:15 p.m. According to the agreement signed, my kids (and husband) must take a nap if they are going to stay up for the Halloween party fireworks. I also agreed to provide them with plenty of snacks during our nighttime escapade. When in Disney...
Park hours and fireworks schedules are currently
available through mid-July. New dates are typically released two and a half months in advance, so I expect the schedule for late September to be released sometime in July. Similarly, the
extended evening theme park hours schedule currently shows dates through July 13. Noting there are no Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Parties scheduled for Wednesdays this year, I expect the pattern of extended evening hours at EPCOT on Mondays and Magic Kingdom on Wednesdays to continue. As a Guest of a Disney Deluxe Resort, I strongly encourage you to take advantage of this gift of time in the parks. In my experience, the extended evening hours have the same crowd size and feel as a specially ticketed event.
May your Disney dreams involve drinks with little umbrellas and colorful leis, Michelle. Please hula back to planDisney with any other trip-planning questions.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
