Welcome Melissa, thank you for stopping by planDisney with your questions.
Planning ahead of time for your visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort is always a great idea. A game plan always helps when you are enjoying your days. When I make my dining plans 60 days before staying at one of the
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels our plans sometimes change, or we might want to modify them for a couple of hours later in the day. If you decide to cancel those reservations they may not be available after you cancel them. Another guests may grab them while you are looking for other times. So you would want to use the modify plans button. The same would be true for
Disney Park Pass Reservations. If you use the “Make or Modify Reservations” option your current reservations will not be dropped until you have a replacement date. If it is for your dining plans, inside of “Future Plans” you will be able to select the meal you would like to change and use the little blue pencil that says “Modify” directly below it. From there you will be able to modify the number of guests, date, and/or time. Using this method will ensure you don’t lose any reservation you may have already set up.
If you are not able to get the same plans you had for dining and nothing is available I would say to keep checking all the way up until the day of arrival. People cancel plans all the time. Especially the day before to avoid being charged for a meal they don’t make it to. If you still aren’t able to find plans I have one last recommendation. Visit whichever dining location as early as you can to see if there is an opportunity to “Join the Walk-Up List.” There is an option on your
My Disney Experience App to join, but I always recommend speaking to a Cast Member at the location. No guarantee, but sometimes pixie dust can be found when you join in person.
Hopefully, this information will help with your future plans. If you have any other questions or need any tips for planning revisit us at
planDisney.com anytime.
Have a magical stay,
Jeremy A.
