Hi Jessica!
Thanks for coming to planDisney with your question!
I have recently been in this situation with my youngest child on his first visit to Walt Disney World Resort, so let me walk you through the steps of how we linked our family's accounts.
Once you
create your child’s account in the My Disney Experience app, you become the manager of that account. Only one adult needs to create an account for the child, making multiple accounts may cause issues with redeeming Lightning Lanes and accessing existing travel plans.
To allow your husband to manage plans for your child, they will need to be connected through his
Family & Friends list.
- First, he needs to access his Family & Friends list through the "My Profile" tab on the My Disney Experience mobile app.
- At the bottom of his existing Family & Friends list, there is an option to "Add a Guest".
- Your child's name should appear on the next screen as they are already connected through your account.
- After he selects your child's account, you will receive an email inviting you and your husband to start making Walt Disney World plans together.
- Once you've accepted the invitation, your husband can add your child to dining reservations, Genie+ selections, and view their Disney PhotoPass photos!
I hope this was helpful, Jessica. Feel free to
reach out again with any follow-up questions you have, and I hope you are having a magical time on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
