    Trying to add my daughter’s annual pass to her phone. She’s 14 and can’t have her own MDE account. Every time I try to add the pass I get a “there was an error adding 1 pass to Wallet”. We’ve updated the iOS, shut down the phone and checked security.

I am so glad you decided to send us this question as I am a big fan of the My Disney Experience app and the Disney MagicMobile service. I cannot tell you how many times I forgot or came close to forgetting my MagicBand in my hotel room. Thankfully, the Disney MagicMobile service allows you to download your pass directly onto your iPhone, Apple Watch or Google Pay-enabled Android smartphone and skip the line at Guest Relations.

    Now, let's talk about how we can make sure your daughter can enjoy this service as much as I do! I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble downloading her Annual Pass into her digital wallet. Thankfully, there are a few things we can do to fix this. First, let's retrace our steps. To download her pass into her digital wallet, open her My Disney Experience app and make sure you are logged into your account. Next, click on the three lines at the bottom right of your screen and on "Disney MagicMobile." You will then click on her profile and download her pass. Second, if you are still experiencing issues, you can instead try and download it on your own phone. Indeed, if you have an iPhone, you can download the pass from her profile into your digital wallet and send it to her via iMessage. Make sure that she is in your contacts list, and you will be able to download it for her. You can download the passes of any Guest managed by you in your account and download up to 11 passes into your digital wallet. Then, if you want to avoid any confusion, you can even safely remove her pass from your digital wallet. In your digital wallet, click on her pass and then on the three dots at the top right of your screen. At the bottom of the page, you will be able to click on "Remove This Card." Lastly, if you are still experiencing issues, I would highly recommend contacting a Cast Member via chat, email or phone, or seeing a Cast Member in person at any of the theme parks. Cast Members truly are real-life fairy godparents, and I always turn to them whenever I have questions!

    I also love the Disney MagicMobile service because it does not exclude other forms of theme park admission. Indeed, let's say your daughter finds the perfect MagicBand at a merchandise location. Even if she uses her Disney MagicMobile pass, she can also link her new MagicBand to her account and use both interchangeably. Personally, I have certain MagicBands from previous trips that I love to use on occasion, and I have the physical ticket of my Annual Pass to receive any discounts or benefits. Depending on the situation, I will use these services interchangeably. That way, you can really see which service best works for you and your needs!
