Curioser and curiouser... Bryan, I'm glad you came to
planDisney with this question. And I understand why you may be scratching your head. Let's see what we find to solve this mystery for you.
You should be able to add a second payment method to your Disney account. According to the website, you can store up to 6 credit cards and save time when making select website and app purchases. Since you received different information, I followed the White Rabbit down the rabbit hole to see what would happen. I successfully added a second credit card to my account with just a few steps.
Although that answers your question about the system allowing multiple cards, it doesn't tell either of us what is happening with the credit card you are trying to add.
You can add a payment method on the website under "
Profile" and then "Payment Methods." You can also do this on the
My Disney Experience app. Open the main menu (the "≡" at the bottom of the screen), scroll to "Profile" and go to "Payment Method." If you've tried the app and it didn't work, I'd suggest trying again online - or vice versa. Does it make logical sense? Maybe not. But sometimes the Cheshire Cat comes out to play and wreaks havoc.
Make sure you have the correct card number, expiration date, security code and billing address.
I know, "reboot" can be frustrating advice, sometimes it mysteriously solves the issue.
Aside from channeling Gazelle and singing, "Try Everything," the only other advice I have is to call (again). Try the
App and MagicBand Support line. I have found the Cast Members on this team are skilled at helping with the tech issues with the app.
I'm sorry I don't have more specific advice, Bryan. I hope one of these works for you. If you have any other questions, we'll do our best to help.
