Hello Davy!
Thanks for sprinting over to planDisney with your question. I’m so impressed you’re lacing up for a
Dopey Challenge spot during
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. I've tackled a few half marathons over the years, but couldn't imagine running a full marathon the very next day (not to mention a 5K and 10K in the days before). I tip my Mickey Ears to you! My husband is also hoping to secure an event bib when General Registration goes live at 10 am EST tomorrow, and let’s just say the whole house is anxiously awaiting his results. Let’s make sure you’re ready to claim your spot in the corrals next January. Ready? Set. Go!
While
Club runDisney requires a US address for membership purchase, the actual
runDisney events are open to international guests. I confirmed with a Cast Member and just walked through the registration process for
runDisney Springtime Surprise Yoga on April 20 to double-check. I was able to select Belgium from the drop-down list of countries when inputting my personal details, so you should be all set as long as you have a reliable internet connection.
As my pal Kaitlin suggests, you'll want to
set up a runDisney account prior to registration day, which will help expedite the registration process. I also recommend joining the queue before it opens at 10 am and having all your registration details, such as emergency contact, pace, shirt size, and payment information available. I suggested that my husband have a note saved on his computer or phone for a quick copy and paste of these details. Spots fill fast, so you’ll save some time having all the details on hand versus typing them in.
Once you've claimed your Dopey Challenge spot, take some time to
review these training programs. Every mile is magic, and you'll certainly be racking them up as you prepare for January 2027, so pace yourself. Be sure to review the
current race policies ahead of your events and jog back to planDisney with any additional questions. We’re always ready to help fellow guests plan their next magical visit.
Magic and memories,
Amy
