When I try to renew my magic key it says it’s linked to a different account

Hello there, Laisa! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you've stopped by to ask us your question.

Oh boy! I am sorry to hear you are having trouble renewing your Magic Key. Since the system is saying your Magic Key Pass is linked to a different Disney account, did someone else purchase your Magic Key for you? If so, the original Disney account would be the one who would have the access and ability to renew the Magic Key Pass. If you purchased your Magic Key on your own Disney account and are getting this message it could just be a technical error. While we are full of Disneyland tips and tricks, we do not have access to Disney accounts so I don't have the magic wand to check into this for you. I would suggest calling the Magic Key Holders line to see what they can find out about your pass and how you can renew it.

I hope you are able to get this squared away and ready for another year of magic! There's so much excitement to come in 2024, and I was thrilled to see that Disneyland Resort released a calendar of upcoming events and festivals for the new year.

Laisa, thanks again for stopping by! You've got a friend in us and we will always be here for any other planning questions you might have.

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
