We are going to try pin trading on our next WDW vacation! My kids have been selecting ones for trading, and we’ve made special kits to carry to the parks! When trading with CM’s, do we offer a pin of our choice, or let them choose from all our traders? :)

Hi Melissa, thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

My daughter is an avid pin trader at Walt Disney World.  I love seeing all of the unique pins that she carefully selects for her collection.  She goes through phases between trading for a specific set and sometimes whatever sparks joy for her.  Some Cast Members have "blind pins" that you can trade for, meaning the pin is backward on their lanyard so you can only see the back and you aren't sure what you are going to get.  Isn't that so fun?  When trading with a Cast Member, your children will be able to select the pin they want to trade for and the pin from their collection to be traded.

I'm so excited for you to start this new tradition with your family while at Walt Disney World.  We have met some of the neatest Cast Members and other Guests through pin trading.  I hope your family enjoys it as much as mine does.  Happy trading!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
