Hiya Lloyd! Welcome to planDisney! It's great to have you stop by!
When planning your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, there are
several variations to choose when booking your vacation package. You'll start by deciding on a Disney Resorts hotel and then proceed to the room type you prefer. After that, you'll combine your resort reservation with a ticket package. Ticket packages range from 2-10 days and you can add the Park Hopper Option to be able to visit multiple parks each day. The last piece of the puzzle can be to add the Disney Dining Plan to your package. This is optional but can be a great way to make your stay feel a bit more all-inclusive.
Each part of the planning process can be tailored in many different ways. There are over
20 different resort hotels and each one is themed so differently. For example, you can choose to stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and be welcomed to your resort with animals roaming the savanna. Or, decide on Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and relax waterside on the white, pillowy sandfront. The options are truly endless.
When you move on to your
ticket package, there are a few add ons if you want to upgrade your selection. You can decide between visiting one park per day, adding the park hopper, or including visits to the water parks. Also, the more days you add, the less per day you'll spend on your tickets. For example, a 10-day park ticket will be less per day than choosing a 5-day ticket.
Adding one of the dining plans is a choice that can be very useful during your stay. The Disney Quick Service Dining Plan allows you to dine at two Quick Service locations each night while the Disney Dining Plan swaps one of those visits with a table service meal. Essentially, you can make an Advanced Dining Reservation to one of the fabulous dining locations across the Walt Disney World Resort.
To get started on booking your stay, use the
"Build Your Vacation" toolbar located at the top of the Walt Disney World website. You'll enter the date range of your trip and the number of Guests in your party. From there, you'll follow the prompts to book your vacation package. The process is as simple as can be and a small deposit is due to confirm your trip. The remaining balance will be due 30 days in advance of your arrival. There may be a
few special offers available at the time of your booking, so I suggest tapping on "View Special Offers" from the drop-down menu under "Tickets & Parks" to see your options.
Lloyd, I hope this information helps you get started on building a magical Disney vacation.
