Hey Howdy Hey Scot and welcome to planDisney!
Well, it sounds like you are in for a rootin'-tootin' good time on your upcoming trip. You will have the unique ability to celebrate the Halloween season and then experience the magical transformation of much of the resort to the Christmas Holiday season celebration. That sounds like such a great experience and so happy to hear you will be able to experience both after-hours parties! Thank you for your questions about some of the details of the party. Not to worry Scott, you've got a friend in me for all of the info you will need! Let's get to it!
Resort transportation is available for everyone up to an hour after the parks close. Park close would also include nights of
Mickey's Not-So-Scarry Halloween Party as well as
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. So not to worry, you should have plenty of time after the parties are over to get back to your resort with resort transportation. Make sure to have your camera ready, because nights on Seven Seas Lagoon are full of pictures of Magic Kingdom and other resorts you won't be able to see at night especially with such little traffic compared to other times!
On the nights of both Mickey's Not-So-Scarry Halloween Party and Mickey's Verry Merry Christmas Party, you will be able to get into the parks starting at 4:00 p.m. EST and stay until the parks close at the end of the party. Once you get into the parks, you will be given a special wrist band to identify you to other Cast Members that you have tickets for the holiday parties. As long as you have your special passes, you should be able to leave and then return if needed.
Make sure you get your entertainment guides when you arrive for both parties for all of the most up-to-date show times for the unique parades, character meet-and-greets and firework shows as there will be a lot to take in. You will also have so many special places throughout the park for special snacks and trick-or-treating you will want to take advantage of! Make sure to follow along with all of the happenings at the parties over at
Disney Parks Blog. They already have a newly released
Foodie Guide for Mickey's Not-So-Scarry Halloween Party you might want to check out as well as keeping an eye out for the upcoming guide for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
Best of luck as you continue to plan and prepare for an epic trip later this year. If you have any further questions please feel free to let us know, we would be happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
