Is it true that we can now try for a boarding group for Rise of the Resistance outside the park at 1 PM?

    Hi Kelly! Welcome to planDisney!

Your visit to Planet Batuu is almost here! Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is one of my favorite spots at the Walt Disney World Resort because of the incredible attractions, delicious food options, and the attention to detail that leaves more to be discovered on every trip I take!

I was enjoying a drink in the outdoor seating area at BaseLine Tap House in Disney's Hollywood Studios just a few days ago and all of the sudden heard cheers throughout the theme park. It was coming from all the Guests that were able to snag a boarding group at 1:00 PM and it made me smile!

The official verbiage for the 1:00 PM virtual queue for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is "try at 1:00 PM after you've entered Disney's Hollywood Studios." Speaking with a Cast Member about this, I was told that you must have entered Disney's Hollywood Studios that day to access the virtual queue, but you don't have to currently be in the theme park to try. As someone who tends to be cautious, I would still try when I'm physically in the theme park at 1:00 PM, but it does appear that as long as you've entered earlier in the day, you can try getting a boarding group if you have exited the theme park. I recommend confirming this information with a Cast Member on the day you visit.

May the Force be with you, Kelly! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
