Is it true that you have to stay on the resort to be able to go into Disney World during Christmas holiday. My friend told me they only let resort guess and Florida residents in. We are staying at my friends timeshare 12/22-12/26.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Gina! Holidays at the Walt Disney World Resort are even more enchanting than usual! It’s my favorite time of year to visit!

It is true that theme parks at the Walt Disney World resort are the busiest during the holiday season, but that does not mean that guests staying off-site are not welcome! You can absolutely visit the Walt Disney World Resort as long as you have a valid theme park ticket!

What tends to happen, especially at the Magic Kingdom Park, is that the park reaches its capacity for guests. I suggest that you arrive early and plan to stay at the park all day. Guests who decide to leave and come back at a later time are not always guaranteed re-entry.

Gina, there’s a lot to enjoy at all four theme parks during the holidays. You can enjoy Sunset Seasons Greetings at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and visit the new Toy Story Land, where you can explore Andy’s Backyard.

Epcot will be hosting the International Festival of the Holidays, where you can explore holiday traditions from the 11 countries at the World Showcase. You can discover the story of Diwali, India’s festival of lights, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. There’s something everyone in your group can enjoy!

Before you arrive, it’s a good idea to make your dining reservations ahead of time. You can also make your FastPass+ selections 30 days before your visit. This will save you lots of time when it comes to waiting in line for your favorite attractions.

With a bit of planning, you can have an amazing holiday experience at the Walt Disney World Resort, no matter how busy it is! If you need any more tips as you continue to put together your trip, feel free to stop by again. Helping you with the details is our pleasure!
