Is it true that Pirates of the Caribbean will be closed indefinitely?

    Ahoy, Tiffani!

Thanks so much for visiting planDisney today!

I'm happy to share the best news on the Seven Seas today. Disney has announced that Pirates of the Caribbean will close briefly, but it will reopen in early summer 2022. We'll be back navigating the dangerous waters of Pirates Grotto in no time. Like you, I also can't wait!

Even if this attraction is not open the next time you go, don't worry! You'll get to cruise around treacherous rivers in a hilarious 10,000-mile journey, navigate tiny magical lands, sail The Happiest Cruise That Ever Sailed, and enjoy the scenic Rivers of America. You'll have plenty of sailing to do while you sharpen your pirate skills for your next visit!

Let us know if you have any other questions before your trip, okay? We're your very own Disney crew!

May the magic be with you,

    Julie
