    Is it true that we no longer have to wear a mask if you are outside?

    Welcome to planDisney Samantha! Thanks for asking such a great question! The Walt Disney World Resort has been following local, state, and federal health guidelines and recommendations since beginning their phased reopening last summer. As part of the ongoing guidance, the Disney Parks and Resort Hotels recently updated their policy on mask-wearing. Guests are no longer required to wear masks when outdoors. Guests choosing to continue to wear masks outdoors can certainly do so! Guests must continue to wear a mask when indoors, riding aboard complimentary Disney Transportation, and when experiencing a ride or attraction. The only exception to indoor mask-wearing is when a Guest is dining or in their resort hotel room.

    I just visited all four Disney Parks last week and stayed at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. I felt very safe at all times! Guests continued to follow all of the policies regarding mask use throughout the resort hotel and the parks! Disney Cast Members continue to do a great job reminding Guests of the current practices to follow!
